Prudential Insurance Company Files Notice of PBI Data Breach Caused by MOVEit Vulnerability

On July 31, 2023, Prudential Insurance Company of America filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Maine after discovering that one of the company’s vendors experienced a data breach related to the file transfer program MOVEit. Prudential attached a data breach letter to its filing, which was written by Prudential’s vendor, Pension Benefit Information, LLC (“PBI”)….
