Hendry Regional Medical Center Notifies Patients of 2022 Data Breach that Leaked Their SSNs and Medical Information

On March 12, 2024, Hendry County Hospital Authority d/b/a Hendry Regional Medical Center (“HRMC”) filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Montana after discovering that it had been the victim of a 2022 cyberattack. In this notice, HRMC explains that the incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access consumers’ sensitive information, which includes their names, Social Security numbers, addresses, dates of birth, medical information and telephone numbers….
