Tonkatsu By Wa Kitchen
Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia
Tonkatsu is the first-of-its-kind Japanese eatery established in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was started in 2010, at a time when there were not many Japanese specialty restaurants in the city. Situated on Level 6, the international dining floor of the award-winning Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping mall, the location was chosen since it was strategic and accessible to the locals and Japanese community. Apart from a well-crafted menu, it’s specialty dishes such as the deep-fried pork cutlets are accentuated with the restaurant’s signature homemade sesame sauce. Set meals are also available at affordable prices. Indulge in Tonkatsu’s healthy menu options which offers light eats or try the set dishes from the a la carte menu. The restaurant served delicious Yaki Gyoza (pan-fried Japanese dumplings), Katsu Soba (Soba in clear soup with deep fried pork loin, spinach vegetables & king oyster mushroom), Horenso Ohitashi (boiled spinach vegetables flavoured with soy & bonito flakes), Buta Shogayaki Zen (Pork belly sauteed in a pan with ginger sauce, served with veggies and rice), Buta Kata Rosu No Teriyaki (Pork grilled with mildly salted Teriyaki flavored sauce) and much more on the menu.
