Hamsa is a multi-cuisine restaurant located in Gandhi Nagar, Adyar. As you enter the restaurant, the luxurious interior and furniture is sure to catch you gazing at them in awe. Hamsa offers its guests an exquisite platter of delicacies from Varanasi, Rampur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Udaipur, Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai. The staff is friendly and prompt. The paneer Saunfiya which as per the restuarant “is grilled cottage cheese stuffed with a spiced fennel mixture”. The presentation is subtle but the flavour is power packed and is bound to keep you wanting for more. The idiyappam biriyani is the restaurant’s rendition of the keelakarai string hopper biriyani. Dingri Hara Pyaz is a favourite pick from the chef, which the chef explains is a trio of button mushrooms, green peas and spring onion in a spicy combo. In rice, Anar our hari meeri ka chawal is sure to catch the patron’s eye which is essentially green peppercorn flavoured rice with a blend of pomegranate seeds. The gulab jamun brulee, amrud phirni and Rabri are the popular choices for desserts among the patrons.
