CoinFlip Announces Data Breach After Learning Employee’s Email Account Was Compromised

On October 20, 2023, GPD Holdings, LLC d/b/a CoinFlip filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Maine after discovering that a CoinFlip employee’s email account was compromised. In this notice, CoinFlip explains that the incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access consumers’ sensitive information, which includes their names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers and other government-issued identification numbers….
