On April 24, 2024, Asbury Automotive Group (“Asbury Auto”) filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Maine after discovering that an unauthorized party had gained access to the company’s computer network. In this notice, Asbury Auto explains that the incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access consumers’ sensitive information, which includes their names, driver’s license numbers, and Social Security numbers….
