Copiah-Lincoln Community College Data Breach Affects 53,628 People

On August 13, 2024, Copiah-Lincoln Community College (“Copiah-Lincoln”) filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Maine after discovering that an unauthorized party was able to access confidential information in the school’s possession. In this notice, Copiah-Lincoln explains that the incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access consumers’ sensitive information, which includes their names and Social Security numbers….
