On August 13, 2024, the East Valley Institute of Technology (“EVIT”) filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Maine after discovering that an unauthorized party was able to access its computer network. In this notice, EVIT explains that the incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access consumers’ sensitive information, which includes their names, Social Security numbers, medical information, financial account information, and more….
